Obtaining CPU information in NetBSD

If you need to know what CPU your are currently using then run cat on /proc/cpuinfo (just like in Linux):

# cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor       : 0
vendor_id       : AuthenticAMD
cpu family      : 6
model           : 7
model name      : AMD Duron(tm) processor
stepping        : 1
cpu MHz         : 1200.14
fdiv_bug        : no
fpu             : yes
fpu_exception   : yes
cpuid level     : 1
wp              : yes
flags           : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov ...

It will show you the number of cores, manufacturer, speed etc. Print Friendly and PDF
